This week saw all of the kids across the Geelong region returning to school. My oldest son had his first day of Kinder on Tuesday and Katie’s two children headed back this week.

As I mentioned in last week's newsletter that we see the kids going back to school as the turning point when buyers or sellers switch their focus back onto real estate. Yesterday’s lower than anticipated inflation figures shows that inflation is falling quicker than the Reserve Bank had estimated and almost guarantees that there will be no interest rate rise on Tuesday.

Now leading economists are predicting that we may see interest rate cuts even earlier than the second half of this year. It is all crystal ball stuff but it is sounding increasingly more positive.
