An easier way home

It is important when you are looking for a rental property, that you have clear understanding of what your requirements are. We would recommend you make a checklist of “must haves” and a checklist of “maybes”

You can also provide us with any written references you have received from previous agents. We will process your application usually within one to two business days after receipt. We understand that it may be an anxious time for you and that you do not want to be kept waiting for an answer.

Once your application has been approved, we will contact you to confirm a commencement date of your lease and an appointment for you to sign all the necessary documentation. This appointment is usually conducted within 24 hours of the application approval. When you attend this appointment, you will need to bring with you the bond as a bank cheque or money order only, made payable to the Residential Tenancies Bond Authority.

To ensure a smooth, trouble-free tenancy, it is important the right tenant is secured for your property. Whitford Property’s detailed screening process aims to establish that tenants can meet the responsibilities of their lease agreement. Tenant selection is in accordance with laws covering discrimination, residential tenancies and privacy.

At the commencement of the tenancy, an ingoing condition report and inspection along with photos are completed. This thoroughly outlines the condition of the property at the commencement of the tenancy. This is provided to the tenant for their perusal and comments. This report is used to conduct our final inspection.

We can arrange all maintenance on your behalf. How we manage this process is completely at your discretion. We can contact you for all maintenance items, you can provide us with an expenditure limit for maintenance or you can give us the authority to arrange all maintenance on your behalf with limited advice.
