Whitord – Geelong Property News: The last Saturday was our first real Saturday back doing open for inspections and the numbers through those inspections were promising. There were a lot of buyers around saying that they were new to the market and just starting their search. 

I think buyers know that lower interest rates are on the horizon and now is the time to jump into the market. As of today the ASX is rating an interest rate drop in February as a 78% chance. It will be interesting to see as the election campaigns start to ramp up for the federal election what the Labor and Liberal parties will introduce in the way of housing policies (if any) and will that stimulate the market.
